Weekday ski instrocturs

What is your favourite memory of the 2018-2019 season?

Louise : The amazing conditions in the glades! Skiing the Contour with snow up to my knees.

Stéphane : My first experience teaching a group of kids. It was very fulfilling, and my favourite memory of the season.

What do you like to show people who’ve never been to Mont-Orford before?

L : If they are a hardcore skier, I take them into the glades—the Lloyd Langlois!

S : If there are kids in the group, the 4 Km is a must, especially with the little bumps they can try along the side of the run. If they are a mogul master, we head to the Sherbrooke. The bumps along the sides of that run are a well-kept secret!

What do you love most about Mont-Orford?

L : There’s so much you can do here—downhill skiing, x-country, skins, fat bike... but what I love most of all, is the friendly atmosphere. This place is so unique in that regard.

S : For me, it’s the skiable domain. With three mountains, there’s something for every skier, regardless of their level. We always have fun and find hidden gems to explore.

The setting here is unmatched. We’re in a National Park, surrounded by nature. It’s beautiful whether you come in winter or summer.
Stéphane

Ski team coach (CSMO)

What is your favourite memory of the 2018-2019 season?

Alexandre : It was a Monday after a huge snowstorm. I was with 10 kids and 4 other coaches, and we headed for the glades. There was SO MUCH SNOW! I was filming the kids, and one of them yelled into the camera, “This is the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!” That was an amazing moment.

What do you like to show people who’ve never been to Mont-Orford before?

A : If there’s fresh snow, we’ll do the glades for sure. If not, all the runs and hills are excellent. My favourites are the Maxi and Sherbrooke.

What do you love most about Mont-Orford?

A : I’ve always skied at Orford, and becoming a coach here has fostered a really strong sense of family. I get to represent this mountain at races and competitions that are held elsewhere, and I feel so proud when I see our young skiers come back with the Chapeau d’Or time and time again.

Every day is an amazing ski day! We are so fortunate to be here.

Abonnés de saison famille Giroux

What is your favourite memory of the 2018-2019 season?

Anne-Josée : When we were skiing with friends and our girls managed to do a FULL DAY of skiing. They skied ALL DAY long! They’re still talking about the lunch and hot chocolate we had at the Slalom Pub.

What do you like to show people who’ve never been to Mont-Orford before?

A-J :We have our Giroux Family Pass which is great for the girls, but we tell first-time visitors to get a lift ticket for the whole mountain. They have to experience runs like the Trois-Ruisseaux, the Grande-Coulée and the Slalom which are some of our favourites.
Jocelyn:
I love showing people the amazing views. Even though the runs here are among the most beautiful in Québec, Orford also stands out because of its incredible scenery. It really enriches the whole experience.

What do you love most about Mont-Orford?

A-J : The quality of the runs and the respect of other skiers. They are courteous when skiing around kids that are learning to ski. Everyone is so friendly and helpful—that’s the Orford family!

Jocelyn: I place a lot of value on courtesy and customer service, and I must say that the entire team at Orford delivers a level of professionalism that can be hard to come by these days. Their warmth and welcoming demeanour is contagious.

Rosalie:
Going to see the animals in the runs!

My first day of skiing this year was exactly the same as my last day, last year—sunny and filled with shouts of joy!

Weekday ski pass

What is your favourite memory of the 2018-2019 season?

Monique : With the erratic weather we have these days, I must say that the conditions on the mountain are spectacular. The team here performs miracles. Were really fortunate.

What do you like to show people who’ve never been to Mont-Orford before?

M : It all depends on their skiing level, but the first thing I always do is take them up in the gondola because we are lucky to have one. Then, Ill take them down the Trois-Ruisseaux and the Grande Coulée. Well also go on Giroux to discover the Slalom, and then come back on the Magnum. And, if Alfred Desrochers is open, well go there. Hmm, I guess this means I show them everything!

What do you love most about Mont-Orford?

M : My gang! It’s great to come here every morning and find my friends. We chat. We catch up on news. We’ve been skiing together for years!

Mont-Orford is MY mountain.

Unlimited season Pass

What is your favourite memory of the 2018-2019 season?

What do you like to show people who’ve never been to Mont-Orford before?

What do you love most about Mont-Orford?

A : It’s a challenging mountain. The runs and glades here are unmatched. Anyone who skis on Mont-Orford can easily ski anywhere else.

Justin : We had a major snowfall just before St. Valentines Day. There was so much snow, it was just like being out West again.

What do you like to show people who’ve never been to Mont-Orford before?

J : The Écureuil! Its a pretty challenging glade, and beyond the skill level of most skiers, but Orford is the only place in this area where you’ll find that kind of terrain.

What do you love most about Mont-Orford?

J : It will always be the place where I discovered, and fell in love with, skiing.

Mont-Orford might not be Western Canada, but it feels really good to be back here.
